Going to Auckland zoo

Yesterday Thursday 22th October room 9 the middles and juniors went to the zoo. We first got ready in the morning came to school and played with friends. I ran around looking at room 10’s baby chicks. At the time it was a windy, cold gray moment. When the bell rang room nine did the roll and waited for other classes to wait and have a conversation on the court’s. As we waited my teacher asked if we could clean the class because the other day we had a reliever and had so much fun with him. So as were cleaning we see the juniors and middles heading to the courts so we were asked to line up outside with our bags. When everyone was out and our classroom doors were locked we went to the courts. When we sat down with our middles and juniors we started talking. A minute later my teacher got our attention and ask questions like “ what group were in” and other questions to see if we were ready and showing fire and ace. As we were about to head of the middles and juniors we sent of class by class.

We were the last class to get sent so we waited. When class were in the bus getting on the bus, they were all full. As we waited for our bus to arrive we played hand games and others.  After an hour our bus finally arrived with us all anxious and tired. While the bus was driving to the zoo we played one marshmello and fun games that made us laugh and smile. When we arrived at the zoo we thanked the driver and lined us into our class group.

We headed in the gate and met room 10 waiting and sitting. We sat down with them and patrick came on of the zoo helpers told us when we will meet again and telling us rules we shouldnt do. As we got the rules stuck our heads we headed to our groups and teacher also got a map . In my group I had Mrs Faalili, me obviously, Catherine, Pita, Carlosi, Kisina, Josephine, Antonio. As we walked on the path walk the first animal we saw was a red panda. As we looked around when then saw an otter that was brave and happy. Looking around for animals hours past we had a break and ate at a nearby cafe by the elephants. I was eating until some cheeky sparrows, pigeons and chickens started watching us and trying to steal some food from us. Ahah bad luck for kisina he couldn't eat his chicken n chips on from of a chicken!. After eating our delicious lunch we headed back where we were supposed to meet patrick. We had a talk and ate lunch more lunch. I saw my mum and sister enjoying their lunch and just watching the nature around them.

When it was time to go with patrick we got into our class lines and followed patrick. We went to the pride lands part and saw Giraffes, Ostrich and a Zebra. We were told to sit down and tell why the Ostrich, Zebra and Giraffes were in the same home together. I put my hand up and answered back with “ because they get along with each other “ after 5 minutes patrick pulled out of his bag a piece of giraffe skin. We got to feel the skin and for me it felt rough and okay.

An hour later walking again seeing lions, felling rhino horns and looking at monkeys. We then we left alone with our groups again and went to a kiwi place it was dark and a man was speaking a  baby kiwi egg we walked through and reached the end of the kiwi tunnel. We also got to feel the porcupine spikes and watched meerkats squeak and dig. It was later time to go. We meet up and thanked then headed to the bus. 15 minutes later we arrived at school and went to class.I was so happy that I got to see all the cool animals at the auckland zoo we relax at our class then headed out for fresh air. We the played one marshmello with Mrs Faalili and I  happy ending at home relaxing.

Reliever day

Yesterday room 9 had a reliever. We started of as the roll then went on to our work. She told us that our teacher told us to make our own super hero and make a story how they turn in a superhero. As we stood up one by one to get our paper with a regular girl on it we started making it into a superhero our own. After minutes of drawing on our superhero it was time to do our writing. Mine was a very very long paragraphs that i showed to our reliever. After the morning tea bell rang and we ate our lunch then headed outside to play. After Morning tea we then made our story cubes than we read a Toi Toi book and had to find our favorite story than write about the main parts of the story. Their were 6 pieces that we had to glue than make it into a cube. After lunch around 1:30 we did our national shake out twice and carried on our work that we finished. When the dismiss bell went we got our bags did karakia and thanked Miss Hurk for teaching.
