Weave a Basket

 Today for Niuean Language Week we had to create a Ven diagram about the similarities and the differences of weaving a basket in Niue and another country. I couldn't find information about my culture weaving so I choose to do Fiji.

                   Today Room 11 and I did Thursdays online challenges and for today's challenge                                    on our afternoon call we made pancakes online. It was a fun challenge to do since                   we learnt how to make pancakes and eat & enjoy them later on together.

Rebus Puzzles

 Today's online call we had Mrs Cox and did some rebus puzzles, After doing a few puzzles Mrs Cox gave us a little challenge to do which was to create our own rebus puzzles. I used some sayings and made them into rebus puzzles,  try solve them and hope you enjoy!

Pancakes

Today in the morning for our online tech call we made pancakes!, it was simple instructions

we had to make our batter and fry than decorate our pancakes. Me and my tech group

took pictures of their pancakes and had to post it on their blog so here is mine.

 

Create Your Own Monster

Today Room 11 had to copy and paste images to create our own monster,

Otai Drink

 Today's Tongan dish for the day is Otai, It is a refreshing Tongan drink 

with tropical fruit, sugar and coconut milk. Whenever you have fruits, sugar, and 

coconut milk make sure to make this cooling drink, Otai. Have a great Tongan Language Week!

Cybersmart Task 21

 

  Today's cybersmart challenge was to write a email to the Manaiakalani team

and tell them why you think your school is the best school! In the email we 

had to have a with a greeting, a brief description about why your school is the best, 

and than to end it of with a thank you. Thank you for spending your time to come to my blog

and shapes. I have added a few facts and a short description

We had to look for a comment on the class blog or a comment on our own blog site.

Here on the last slide I found a comment from one of my post and copied and past it on the 

text box. In the comment we had to highlight the text which showed  

a. Greeting   b. Positive   c. Thoughtful  and  d.  Helpful.

Here is task we did from our Fun Friyay, I choose 10 Monuments/Landmarks we would want to 

visit when were older. I researched who built it, where it is located, why is it significant,

What its known for and how its protected. I added pictures, the name and a good sentences or two 

about the Monuments/Landmarks.

Maritime Museum Trip

Yesterday the whole senior block went on a trip to Maritime Museum. It was such a amazing experience learning about Maori history and being on a Waka named Honui (the waka). On the way to the Museum we only had one bus to go in so we were packed with a bus full of 70+ kids all crowded, but we made it there with no fuss. Arriving there they greeted us with a welcome song and we sang our school waiata back! We had an amazing time exploring the museum and doing the fun scavenger hunt challenges in groups of 4-6 finding cool objects and items that have interesting back stories. My favorite part of the day was being on the waka as the supervisors told us hilarious stories about Honui (the waka) and where they went with Honui. Ending the day off, they treated us with small wooden waka toys to create and put together, it was a thrilling, fun and exhausting day to be at Maritime Museum!

Optical illusion

 This here is my optical illusion for Summer Learning Journey.

I used curve to draw out the optical illusion and fixed some messy

parts, although its better than nothing and I hope you guys are having fun
