High School Week

On Monday, Tuesday, and Today the middles and senior had High School Week. We had to do fun activities for Literacy and Maths and I would like to show you my High school work I did this week.

A Message From GTS

 

Since Term 3 to now Glen Taylor School has been creating films for Manaiakalani. Yesterday,  Glen Taylor took buses to Sylvia Park to watch the films from Manaiakalani film festival. Our film got selected to be screened at Hoyts Cinema which was really exciting. "A message from Glen Taylor" was created to encourage to be positive. We sat and watched other different films from GTS, Tamaki College, St Patrick, St Pius, Pt England, Panmure Bridge and more. I had a lot of fun watching the films they created that left me motivated and stronger.

Last Friday Glen Taylor & Glen Innes Primary ran 2.4km from 

Pakuranga Sailing Club to St Kentigern School. I ran with friends, It was tiring 

but at the end we had sausages water.

Tech

 At level one year 7 and 8 could go back to tech, we had new classes so me and my 

group headed to science. Miss Sharma our Science teacher taught us about saving energy at home and  

showed a video of how to save power. 

We learnt about light bulbs, how they work, how much they cost and who made them. Their was a lot of fun facts I found out about light bulbs that I never knew.

We had to get in buddy's and connect wires and 4 different things

to make a light bulb work, the next step after doing that was using a switch to open and close the light 

bulb which was challenging and hard but at the end of the day me and my buddy's got it working.
